What To Expect

If you decide to make an initial 30 minute appointment, this will offer you the opportunity to meet me, ask questions and decide whether you would like us to work together. I believe the quality of the relationship is the most important part of therapy.

Our first full session would begin by signing an Agreement in order to protect confidentiality. I would then carry out an assessment; the purpose of this is to find out about you and discuss what you would like to achieve.  The remainder of the session would be dedicated to exploring your difficulties. We would meet each week or on a schedule which would enable you to get the most benefit from your sessions. Brief or long term work can be offered depending on the nature of the presenting problem. I am able to integrate CBT methods, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy or coaching into my work and you can decide which approach might be appropriate for you.

In my work as a therapist I believe that the power to change lies within the individual. As a client you would be respected, valued and trusted by me and our relationship would be collaborative to enable you to achieve as much from the sessions as possible.
